Carl Bernstein is an American author and investigative journalist. The accomplishments and work that Bernstein has completed over the years make him extremely popular and a name to be recognized within the mass media industry. The area that Bernstein has focused his work on is politics. One of Bernstein’s most famous pieces of work was in the 1970s during the Watergate Scandal which involved President Nixon and his resignation from president. At the time, Bernstein was employed by the Washington Post and has been given much of the credit for exposing the truth behind the scandal. He was on top of all the reporting and creating the articles in the newspaper to inform the public. Because of his work during the Watergate Scandal, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize which is recognition for outstanding public service and achievement in American journalism. Later, Bernstein eventually left the Washington Post to work as a senior correspondent for ABC-TV. Bernstein is now a contributing editor for Vanity Fair. It is not said now much he gets paid for a story, but he has an estimated net worth of $20 million. Bernstein wrote a book called Loyalties: A Son’s Memoir which is about his parents having an encounter with McCarthism. Another work done by Bernstein is called A Woman in Charge which is a biography about Hillary Clinton. Carl Bernstein has been very successful in his life thus far and continues to strive for excellence by helping the public and keeping them entertained and informed.
