Errin Haines
Errin Haines is an American journalist, she normally covers politics, civil rights, voting rights, and race. She has received four accolades "2006 - Emerging Journalist Award, National Association of Black Journalists
2009 - Award of Excellence, Atlanta Press Club
2017 - Print Journalist of the Year, Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists
2020 - Vernon Jarrett Medal for Journalistic Excellence, Morgan State University."
Haines currently works for "The 19th" as the editor-at-large. Errin Haines is a freelance journalist. Haines is well known for her story on the shooting of Breonna Taylor, as well as the first reporter to interview Kamala Harris after Kamala being nominated for vice-president, one of her stories titled "A Grand Jury Indicts One Officer Involved in the Breonna Taylor Case" this story (written 6 months after Breonna was fatally shot in her apartment) shed a light on the anger and the disrespect black people were feeling. It had information about the grand jury disappointing but not surprising decision.
