Journalist: Christiane Amanpour

                 Journalist assignment 

Christiane Amanpour is the global affairs anchor for ABC News. She provides international analysis of vital problems with the day for ABC News programs and platforms in anchoring primetime documentaries on international subjects, likewise she is also the host of "Amanpour" and chief international correspondent for CNN. Christiane is a woman of many talents and is a great role model and voice for young females. She is known for her fearless writing style which basically means she is not afraid to write what she wants. Christiane also puts a lot of emotion and loves writing about conflicting topics because that's what she is interested in. She is a freelancer, we have seen that she is not married to one specific company but has a unique flexibility where she can work at different companies. Amanpour has written multiple powerful stories but the three that stand out to me were “Advocating for child refugees” , “ protecting journalistic freedom” and “The Indian Ocean Tsunami”. The one I found most interesting was “ Protecting Journalistic Freedom” This was very interesting to me because as she said  “I never in a million years thought I would be up here onstage appealing for the freedom and safety of American journalists at home.” She criticized Donald Trump by saying this in her story so he could realize what is being done to the journalists and how they feel they are unsafe in America. She also tweeted “sorry what country are we in”. As we can see she has a very powerful voice and in that moment felt she wasn't heard. My next favorite story she wrote was “Advocating for child refugees'' This interests me because she has been someone who has advocated for child refugees over the years and wants to raise awareness throughout the world. As I said before you can tell that this is a very important issue and how passionate she is about this. The last story I really enjoyed was “The Indian Ocean Tsunami” This was a world wide devastation and she conducted interviews with President Joko Widodo which was very important. You could tell how passionate she is just by reading this story and watching the interviews. She is an overall strong minded person who has created a huge name for herself throughout the years. You can tell she fights for what she believes in and won't stop until she's heard.
