The Knights Templar

The Knights Templar were committed warriors that formed on Christmas day. They formed because of Baldwin II when he convinced a group of people known as, french knights to protect groups of Christian pilgrims traveling throughout the holy land. They are a group that has vows of poverty. Their lifestyle is chastity. They never looked for the easiest path, they took the most dangerous routes they possibly could. They are still not sure today whether or not they are associated with the Holy Grail.

As theories and myths are something that may or may not be true, you choose what you believe. The Knights Templar was a group known with lots of myths that we cannot exactly prove to this day. One of the myths about the Knights Templar was Dan Browns The Da Vinci code which leads to the Templars guarding the Grail. Not only do we think about these myths, we actually play with their myths through video games. Assassins Creed, which is a video game whose purpose is to assassinate a templar. We brought the myths into games to make us understand this myth deeper.

History of the Knights Templar - HISTORY

Some people think that the Knights Templar association with the Freemasons is a myth but as centuries went on we learned that it was part of a marketing campaign and researchers were able to debunk this myth. A man part of the Freemasons known as Andrew Ramsey is who introduced the two groups to become affiliated with one another.

 Who were the Knights Templar?

Today we do things because we continue the legacy and have been influenced by the Knights Templars. They were always known as elite fighters, managed properties, bankers, and owning a lot of lands. With this, we use techniques and have been passed on different ways that relate to their legacy that will continue with us.  A monument that is no longer standing anymore is the Chateau Pelerin in Israel. This was meant for soldiers up to 4,000. It had unique designs that made it stand out as well.
